Every two weeks students in my class have a current events assignment known as "Newsflash." This assignment involves summarizing the main ideas of a world news event, identifying the five W's and a historical themes analysis. The article selected must be a world news event-meaning it either takes place outside the U.S. or involves U.S. foreign policy.
